As stewards of our community’s future, Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being is dedicated to fostering resilience, compassion, and growth among our families and children.
Empowering Families and Nurturing Children
Partners in Caring Program
Our flagship program, Partners in Caring, embodies our mission. This coordinated school health team comprises a registered nurse, a family support coordinator, and a licensed professional counselor (LPC). Together, they provide services to students attending Lincoln County schools. We recognize that schools play a pivotal role in shaping a child’s well-being. Our dedicated health team collaborates closely with educators, parents, and students to promote physical health, emotional resilience, and academic success. By addressing physical, emotional, and mental well-being, we empower our young learners to thrive.
After-School Program
We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. At Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being, we’ve crafted an innovative after-school program that’s as dynamic as the children it serves. Instead of a traditional brick-and-mortar setup, we’ve woven our program into the very fabric of local schools. We’ve seamlessly integrated the Whole School Whole Child framework into our program’s DNA. This means we’re not just about homework help; we’re about holistic growth. From academic support to emotional well-being, we’ve got it covered. We collaborate closely with surrounding schools, sharing our program blueprint like a cherished family recipe. They take the reins, adapting it to their unique student body. In summary, our after-school program isn’t just about homework and snacks; it’s about building a village that supports your child’s growth. Picture this: our after-school program starts in one school, then spreads to another, and another. Soon, entire communities are benefiting from our after-school program’s magic.
Mentoring Program
We’ve designed a unique mentoring program specifically for high school students. Rather than running it from our business building, we collaborate with surrounding schools. At the start of each school year, we introduce students and their schools to the program during a county-wide mentoring summit. Our goal? To empower these students with essential skills, so they can return to their own schools and establish and enhance their own mentoring programs. Together, we’re shaping and growing the strong leaders of tomorrow and fostering positive change within their school environments.
Summer Reading Fitness Program
Learning doesn’t take a vacation during the summer! Our engaging summer reading fitness program combines physical activity with literacy, ensuring that children stay active and curious during the break. We’ve designed this impactful program specifically for elementary age students. Every child deserves to thrive physically, emotionally, and academically. Our program integrates evidence-based practices from the WSCC Model to achieve this:
Physical Education and Physical Activity: We encourage active play, sports, and movement to boost physical health.
Nutrition Environment and Services: Our snacks and meals are carefully curated to provide balanced nutrition.
Health Education: We teach essential health concepts, from hygiene to mental well-being.
Social and Emotional Climate: Our caring staff create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued.
Physical Environment: Safe spaces, inspiring classrooms, and green areas promote well-being.
Community Involvement: We partner with community organizations to expand resources.
Family Engagement: Your active participation enriches our program.
Holiday Meal Basket Program
As a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening families and improving child well-being, we have launched a special initiative: the Holiday Meal Basket Program.
What is the Holiday Meal Basket Program? Our program operates entirely on generous donations from individuals like you. We recognize that holidays can be challenging for many families, especially those facing financial hardships. That’s why we’ve created a simple yet impactful way to ease their burdens during this festive time.
How Does It Work? Through the Holiday Meal Basket Program, we assemble and distribute meal baskets filled with essential holiday dinner staples. These baskets include items such as hams, green beans, yams, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, and more. Each basket represents a warm and nourishing meal that brings comfort and joy to families in need.
Why Your Support Matters By joining us in this mission, you directly impact the lives of families within our community. Your contribution ensures that parents and children alike can experience the joy of a holiday meal, even during challenging times. Together, we can make a difference and create lasting memories for those who need it most.
